This new product, called Detective Multimeter is based on a new, state-of-the-art technology and it will potentially lead other next generation products.
By using “ Detective Multimeter”, users in the industry would be able to increase their productivity levels according to the concepts under the “Planned Maintenance”, “Predictive Maintenance”, “Preventive Maintenance” and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) with very low costs.
Thanks to its unique model-based monitoring technology, Detective Multimeter has the ability of detecting impending mechanical and electrical failures in several processes in a plant. The product, which is very easy to install and use prevents unplanned downtime on motor-based equipment. Detective Multimeter is a device that continuously monitors electric motor-based machinery and equipment (fans, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, press machines,conveyors, etc.) and has the ability of detecting failures (unbalanced, misalignment, bearing problems, rotor and stator faults, leakages, valve and vane adjustments, isolation and other electrical problems) in these systems, at the early stage of fault development using only voltage and current measurements. The best way to save on production costs and remain competitive on today's world market is to continually improve the productivity of your machines and equipment. And this in return means reducing the amount of downtime and rationalizing your maintenance procedures.

| • Another advantage that Detective Multimeter has, is that it determines how big the failure is and how fast the motor failure is progressing. Detective Multimeter has different error levels depending on the failure severity; System Recognition, Ok, Watch Line, Watch Load, Perform Maintenance and Stop. The green light, Normal Status (Ok) shows that everything is running smoothly. “Watch Line” indicated by yellow light and “Watch Load” indicated with orange light states that there is an abnormal change in the line and load. “Perform Maintenance” accompanied with red light states that an electrical / mechanical failure has started to develop, and action needs to be taken before it reaches at critical levels. “Stop” accompanied with red light indicates that urgent maintenance is required. |

• Detective Multimeter detects both electrical and mechanical faults just by measuring three phase voltage and current signals of a motor. The relationship between voltage (input) and current (output) signals is very sensitive to the variations in the air gap between rotor and stator. The mechanical changes in the motor or motor based system also affect this air gap. Hence, it is possible to detect mechanical faults as because of such changes affecting parameters are calculated by the built-in MCM. (Motor Condition Monitoring) |
