- Current Protection Relays
MKR-AKXX have been developed to secure motor or any system from high or low current. There are two delay time setting (starting delay and relay output delay) and current protection level setting.
MKR-AKA05 : Over current protection relay (0.5-5A)
MKR-AKD05 : Under current protection relay (0.5-5A)
MKR-AKA15 : Over current protection relay (1.5-15A)
MKR-AKD15 : Under current protection relay (1.5-15A)
Starting Delay Setting (0.5-8 sec.): When the system or motor starts to run, starting delay time will starts to count. During this time counting, the device doesn’t care the current level of the system. Thanks to this property, wrong decision of the device is prevented at the beginning of operation of system.
Current Level Setting (0.5-5A): “k” and “l” terminal of the device is used for measuring current level of the system. The current which is flowing through these terminals is compared adjusted current protection level. If the measured current is in normal level, the contacts of the relay will not change their position.
Relay Delay Time (0.5-15 sec.): When the current level which is measured between “k” and “l” terminals is outside of the adjusted current protection interval, relay delay time starts to count. During the counting, the device is going on checking the current level of system. At the end of the adjusted time, if the measured current level is still outside of the adjusted protection interval, relay will change its contact position and stop the system.
Warning LEDs:
U: Supply voltage is active.
R: Internal relay is energized.
D: System which is controlled by the relay is under protection right now.
NOT: MKR-AKA05 and MKR-AKD05 can be used up to 5A without using CT. For realizing higher current protection, external current transformer must be used. MKR-AKA15 and MKR-AKD15 can be used up to 15A without using CT.
